REMINGTON ROLLING BLOCK RIFLE .43 CALIBER
About one million rolling blocks were produced during the mid to late 1800's.  Most were used by
foreign countries.  This one is mechanically sound with a very good bore.  The metal is bright with
some age discoloration.  This rifle was more than likely produced in the early 1870's due to the
stamping on the receiver tang.  This model would accept a socket bayonet.  The wood is in very good
condition having been re-stained many years ago.  Requires a cleaning rod which is easily obtained
online or at a gun show.
THIS IS BEING SOLD AS A HISTORICAL ARTIFACT AND NOT A
FIREARM.

1870's RIMFIRE REVOLVER - POSSIBLE WHITNEY
Similar to the Whitney Model #1 Monitor this rimfire revolver
stamped "DEFENDER 89." has a fluted cylinder and square
end cylinder rod.  The most striking part of this piece are the
highly detailed hand grips of an eagle with raised wings,
clutching four arrows and an olive branch.  Original company
records indicate that Whitney produced this type of pistol with
other trade names with the absence of any Whitney markings.
The name DEFENDER is on of the names listed.  Nickel plating
is in very good condition and mechanically sound.  The bore and
rifling are in very good condition as well.
