EARLY TIN CANDLE LANTERN
Made of tin and with construction methods typical with the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Measuring 3
3/8" square and 10 3/8" overall height. Door hinge and latch function properly. Old black paint on the
exterior. The glass appear to be replaced which is common on lanterns of this age. Good
SET OF THREE - 2 TINED FORKS WITH PRESSED HORN
Dating from the last quarter of the 18th to the early 19th
centuries. 6 3/4" overall length. Iron shafts terminate into horn
handles and secured by 3 brass pegs. They have an embossed
pattern which was done soaking the horn in boiling water to make
it pliable and pressing them into a mold. Unique and uncommon.
Made from tinned iron sheet and of early construction. Solid piece with twisted
wire suspension hook. Pleasing age patina. Early to mid 1800's
